I began studying Acupuncture after having had treatment from the age of thirteen for asthma. My family over the years all had acupuncture and I knew that I wanted to study it from a very young age. I regularly observed over the years my Acupuncturist's treatments and when I embarked on my formal Chinese medicine training in acupuncture I continued on to apprentice her whilst studying.
I completed my BSc in Acupuncture from The International College of Oriental Medicine. I undertook four years in study that included within it the study of western medicine, anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmaceuticals. My training also included a mix of Five Elements Acupuncture, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Acupuncture and Stems & Branches.
After qualifying in 2015 I took over a clinic in Paddock Wood and have continued to provide acupuncture health care to it's surrounding community. During 2017 I took over a second clinic this time in Hythe and fell in love with the town.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, which adheres to strict confidentiality, and code of ethics and means I am fully insured. I regularly go on courses to update my skills and keep up to date with research that is being carried out. Within treatments I use acupuncture frequently combined with eastern dietary therapy, cupping, moxibustion and electro acupuncture, where appropriate.
After marrying in 2018, myself and Chris began dreaming of having our own practice to work together within and share our vision with the community. So in 2021 our vision became reality when we opened The Accuro Clinic.
